Locally recruited teaching staff
In addition to this basic staff complement, the Schools require locally recruited teachers (officially called ‘part-time teachers’) for the following situations:
-
Teaching of religion. Teachers of religion are appointed by the competent authorities.
-
Filling of a post shown in the establishment table but for which the country concerned has not yet seconded a teacher.
-
Teaching of a course with an insufficient number of lessons to justify the creation of a full-time post.
-
Temporary replacement of teachers who are absent (on sick leave, maternity leave, etc.).
Each school will publish their vacancies on their own websites. The Office of the Secretary-General does not have a say in the selection process.
The conditions of Employment for Part-time teachers is available on the Basic texts page. Are you looking for a vacancy in an accredited European School?
